BACKGROUND:
Bader Insurance Company develops, markets and administers specialized point-of-lease insurance programs for the Self-Storage and Multi-Family Housing industries.
Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, the company has provided numerous insurance programs throughout the United States since 1973. Because of their knowledgeable, dedicated staff and investments in technology, they are able to respond quickly to their client needs.
SITUATION:
The company has experienced explosive growth over the years. As such, the accounting department processes an average of 60 credit card payments on a daily basis. But all of the transactions was being handled by a proprietary software system that was not integrated with their main database of insureds.
The transactions would have to be typed into their main system on a daily basis, a process that would take an estimate of 2-3 hours a day.
SOLUTION:
Using ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server Technologies PC Experts created a cost efficient solution that automated the credit card processing procedure. The new system generates a list of payments that are due for that date, sending them for processing through an online credit card processor. The entire process now takes an average of 1 to 2 seconds per payment and reduced the process time from 2-3 hours to only 5-7 minutes a day, which equals to almost a week of work per month! |
SUMMARY:
Using Microsoft technologies PC Experts was able to streamline the process and improve productivity while increasing accuracy.
